About Us
Patrick Paul - Founder/Tutor
Patrick found his passion in 2011 when he began working as an English tutor. Since then, he has helped hundreds of students from around the world hone their English skills. Based on his extensive tutoring experience, Patrick developed a holistic approach to one-on-one and small group tutoring that focuses on maximizing a learner's ability to interact successfully with native English speakers. All Superior English tutors are thoroughly trained in this methodology, allowing them to combine their dynamic personalities and intellectual gifts with years of insight from on the job. Patrick has a bachelor's degree in English from Boston College, a master's degree in human development and psychology from Harvard University, and is TEFL and TESOL certified through ITTT with an A grade. He loves language, traveling, music, and basketball.
Elena - Tutor
Elena studied Early Childhood Education and Child Studies at Lesley University, and is licensed as an early childhood educator in the state of Massachusetts. She has worked in elementary schools in both the Boston area and in Belgium, and is currently teaching Pre-K. In her free time, she likes to bake, read, visit museums, and hang out with her cat.
Sean - Tutor
Sean is a proud Boston native. He studied Chemistry and Linguistics at the University of Arizona, where he discovered a passion for teaching English and working with students from around the world. He taught abroad in South Korea at an elementary school for two years as part of the Teach and Learn in Korea program and is currently a teacher and coordinator at the Jamaica Plain Community Centers Adult Learning Program. He loves to meet new people, learn new languages, and travel to new places.
Clare - Tutor
Clare hails from the great city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In college, she studied economics and philosophy and now works in higher education. She has lived all over the United States, including Maine, California and now Boston. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and yoga.
Tyler - Tutor
Originally from sunny California, Tyler studied Biology and Genetics at Arizona State University before entering a Master's program in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University. She is currently involved in several research projects at Boston Children’s Hospital. In her free time, Tyler loves to cook, hike, and read.
Jared - Tutor
Jared is from Long Island, NY. He studied Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology as well as Global Health, Culture & Society at Emory University. After undergrad, he continued his education and received his master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. He is currently involved in clinical research at Tufts Medical Center and tutors graduate students in various science courses. He began medical school in the summer of 2017. Jared enjoys exercising, playing sports, reading, and hanging out with friends and family in his free time.
Kaitlyn - Tutor
Kaitlyn is from Massachusetts. She studied Psychology at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. She has a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, and she began dental school at Tufts in the summer of 2017. In her free time she likes to hang out with friends, play and watch sports (especially the Boston Bruins), and sing.
Julia - Tutor
Julia is from outside Boston. She studied Industrial and Labor Relations with minors in Spanish, Business, and Inequality Studies at Cornell University. She is currently an AmeriCorps member at a legal nonprofit that provides humanitarian and family-based legal help to immigrants experiencing poverty. She likes to read, cook, travel, and be outside.
